Navigating Data Protection in Lexology’s global guide

Lexology Data Protection

We are proud to announce that our Data Protection Team has contributed to the Hungarian chapter of Lexology’s Data Protection & Privacy publication for the seventh time, alongside leading law firms from around the world.

The new publication has just been published. It provides businesses with indispensable insights on core data protection principles and a wide range of key topics, including data breaches, security, transfers, internet use, electronic marketing, cloud services, and more.

While the initial wave of GDPR enthusiasm may have passed, compliance challenges remain very real, especially in the context of ongoing digital transformation and current discussions around simplifying GDPR reflecting the complexity and evolving nature of the current regulatory environment. The Hungarian Data Protection Authority’s nuanced approach adds yet another layer of complexity to an already demanding landscape.

Overall, a clear, reliable guide navigating through the jungle of Hungarian data protection regulations remains highly relevant.

The Hungarian chapter was authored by Endre Várady, Andrea Belényi, and János Tamás Varga.
